NAVA Propertymark protects and guides consumers, promoting the highest standards of professionalism throughout the auctioneering and valuation industry, from property to fine art and chattels and everything in between. We work to promote high standards through education and qualifications within the sector. NAVA Propertymark experts meet higher standards than the law demands and through this we offer greater protection to consumers. National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers (NAVA) evolved into NAVA Propertymark in February 2017, working with sister organisations NAEA Propertymark, NAEA Commercial and Propertymark Qualifications to improve the choices available to consumers. By holding our members accountable and by empowering consumers with knowledge and advice, we protect them and their money.
Those using auctioneers and valuers who display the Propertymark Protected logo have the peace of mind that they enjoy Client Money Protection, Professional Indemnity insurance and membership of an independent redress scheme. Members are also subject to Propertymark’s Conduct and Membership Rules and disciplinary procedures with sanctions for those who fall below the expected standards.
The key aim of NAVA is to promote and ensure professionalism and best practice, and by doing so, provide a first class service to both members and the general public – the people who use members’ services. NAVA’s membership requirements promote high standards. Member and Fellow grade must be qualified and agree to follow stringent Rules of Conduct and Code of Practice.
Olivia is a Fellow and Mark is a member of NAVA. To find out how their skills could work for you, please call 01425 200 366 or email us now. The National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) is the UK’s leading professional body for estate agency. Its 10,000 members practice across all aspects of property both in the UK and overseas, including residential and commercial sales and letting, property management, business transfer, auctioneering and land. Founded in 1962 by estate agent and entrepreneur Raymond Andrews, the NAEA was established with the goal of upholding good practice and high professional standards in UK estate agency. This struck a chord with the industry at a time when there was little representation for estate agents and has allowed the Association to grow phenomenally over the years. As a leading player in the property industry, the NAEA offers significant benefits to both estate agents and consumers.
As a member of the public, by choosing an NAEA member you can be sure you are dealing with an experienced and professional agent. Membership of the Association is through formal qualification ensuring that NAEA member agents have the knowledge and experience to guide you through your property transaction as smoothly and painlessly as possible. Operating under strict rules of conduct, members must meet certain standards relating to professional and ethical practice. Under the rules, agents are required to protect and promote their client’s interests, while at all times acting in a fair and proper manner. If you are unfortunate enough to suffer at the hands of malpractice by an NAEA estate agent, the Association can take disciplinary action on your behalf and award you with compensation through an independent redress scheme where appropriate.
